Normal bicycle (human powered) or e-bike (motor assist) ?

I pick normal bicycle every time. The idea is for recreation *and* exercise at the same time. Cycling on a normal bicycle is very aerobic and healthy.

Just my view.

I know some people love the concept of an e-bike but if you're weight-conscious e-bikes are generally much heavier than non-e-bike equivalents (just like EV cars vs non EV cars).

Get a small motorcycle or scooter and get it over with.

@jackson55 it's for fun/recreation not commuting or quick getaways from criminal activities 8-). Motorcycles require registration.

@zonavar68 Fun and recreation is what I use mine for.
Bicycles are required to registered in some places.

@jackson55 Interesting. Here in Oz e-bikes and e-scooters are a suburban 'pest' for the most part though most users do so respectfully. I ride a 'fatbike' with no motor and most people now think 'fatbikes' are e-bikes with big tyres that can go very fast (as fast as a car). So I get interesting comments since mine is very lightweight.

@zonavar68 Along with motorcycles, I have 2 bicycles. A mountain bike and a road bike. Pedal power only.
