Bike locks for bicycles (normal ones - not 'cheating' e-bikes, etc.)

Looking to upgrade the bike locking setup I have for my current bike which is a normal (non-e) mtb.

For those of you who are avid cyclists what do you use and do you adjust your locking setup depending where you are and how long you'll be out of site of your bike?

I've used chain-type locks before - not really a problem. I discovered Lockpicking Lawyer on youtube and watched a bunch of his vids on defeating various bike locks.

@butterflybaby75 Chains are fantastic, but they’re heavy to carry. I’m a road cyclist, so for me, pounds equal pain.

@Sigil mtb is my go-to but yeah weight is an important factor.
