Bike locks for bicycles (normal ones - not 'cheating' e-bikes, etc.)

Looking to upgrade the bike locking setup I have for my current bike which is a normal (non-e) mtb.

For those of you who are avid cyclists what do you use and do you adjust your locking setup depending where you are and how long you'll be out of site of your bike?

I've two, a lightweight wire with a key lock that I use short stops (groceries etc) and a heavy-duty wire with a combination lock. If you want something really strong. there is available a hardened steel folding chain lock that folds up into a compact shape and stays on the bike. You would need an angle grinder or gas axe to cut through it.
