The 'group' you posted your thread in is a group about bicycles, not about chains.

You can say what you 'meant' right now with relative ease, but you never said bicycle chain in your thread, nor did I say bicycle in my post to your thread. My post was no different than your post in that regard. What is obtuse about that in your mind?

@swirlie So someone mentions a problem with a chain in a group about bicycles and you don't think it's clearly about a chain on a bicycle? You seem to be a few cards short of a deck.

The thing is this, just because I may choose to make a post about Donald Trump in an SW 'group' called "Bicycles", does not mean that bicycle chains are not associated with Donald Trump and the company he keeps.

If you want to validate your thread to be strictly about bicycle chains, then you must state in your thread what you are referring to. To do otherwise as you have done, means that I can associate anything I want to your thread without being accused of hijacking it, because as I've previously stated, your thread is about "chains"; your thread is not about bicycles!
