My chain keeps slipping off
Is it something I can fix myself or should I just take it to a cycling shop? Do I need to take a link out?

It really depends on what type of bike, if it’s a single speed probably just sliding the wheel back will help.
If it’s a 10 speed or similar could be a few things but I would check the derailleur it may need adjustments . Not really hard and if you have a little spare time, it may be a way to learn more about your bike. In case of an emergency thing maybe have someone help if your not sure.
