beginning my research on new vehicles...just learned there is a plug-in hybrid version!! wow!! hope to put off a purchase 3-4 years.

these actually have fewer parts that can wear out or need replacing but still have issues per this video i have included. the extra battery in hybrids are air cooled and have a filter that must be kept clean. i assume there is still an air filter under the hood for the engine and the cabin filter in the glove box. dont wait too long between opening the fuel door, running inside station for that drink or lottery ticket, and pumping gas!! after 30 minutes, a special valve will close and the gas will spray all over you.[media=https://youtu.be/BPmAE41S_Rc]

In my personal experience the problem has been that the ICE engine is underpowered. While driving on EV the cars do great.

I now drive a fully EV vehicle, the first one I leased was fantastic, the next i leased and had so many problems the lease was bought out. My next is a full EV crossover, it drives fantastically, but needed 2 major repairs. The service place was fantastic and I really can't complain, i enjoy the silence, the drive, not having to pay over $4 per gallon plus! When the ICE cars first came out to replace the horse and buggy they were loaded with problems, then created severe pollution and problems. EV is in is toddler years. The manufacturers do need to improve he quality control for these new vehicles, all new cars come with complications. Unfortunately, the incentives originally offered have been discontinued and other countries are producing deep shadows over the US. We were just in Europe, every block had at least one double charger, EVs are becoming the standard. If you have ever been in an inner city with diesel and EV cars polluting the air then go to a modern city with EVs and you will notice the difference inmediately,
