Dashcam thoughts, suggestions, recomendations, etc. for 2026
Been thinking about dashcams for a while now. Currently don't have anything in my 4wd or my car.
I've seen a myriad of different brands, types, mounting methods, configurations (front, front and rear, etc.), and ways of interacting with them.
One thing I'm suspicious of is dashcams with any sort of wi-fi or other wireless (internet, etc) connectivity as I feel that is too open to hacking/spoofing and other malicious stuff.
I don't if I can avoid it want dashcams that mount with sticky pads but for the car that might be the only way.
If you have a dashcam do you have front only, front and rear, gps, etc.? How do you have the power configured? Does yours only run when the vehicle is on, or is it running all the time even when parked? Does yours have a battery internal as well as connection to the main vehicle DC power?
