Years ago when i was last in Australia there were people sniffing petrol on the train. Do they still do that?
NeddyKelly · M
@meggie Still happens in Aboriginal communities
Gusman · 61-69, M
@meggie There are still those who sniff intoxicating chemicals.
In the cities, the "sniff" of choice is paint thinners and nitrous oxide via the small canisters
NeddyKelly · M
@Gusman Very very hard to stop this, peer pressure
Gusman · 61-69, M
@NeddyKelly I am sure they also do it to block out the reality of their lives. Not a lot to be enthused about for many of them.

@Gusman I would like to see Albo and the federal aboriginal minister visit some of these remote aboriginal communities to encourage more employment, better housing and stop listening to the city aboriginals and people like Lidia Thorpe

@meggie Happens in places like Western Australia still

@NeddyKelly @Gusman earlier this week in UK, my partner went into a shop run by Pakistani people. He was very surprised to see a bubble wrap of tippex (correction fluid) on the counter with 3 missing. Virtually no one uses that anymore, so he said the kids must be buying it.
