Nobody cares about the ethics of where EV materials come from , so why do the normal people have to care about petrol and diesel?

There's way more 'blood minerals' going into making EV's than there ever will be 'blood oil' used to make petrol and diesel fuels for cars and trucks.

If the EV net zero crowd refuse to care, I don't have to care when the fuel for my vehicles comes from providing it meets the specs and I get what I pay for.
