Hearing clicking in/near steering wheel?

So I've heard a tiny bolt like knocking noise twice two weeks ago and have been gauging it, in center of steering wheel. A week has gone by and no noise. Now tonight, as I was turning the wheel slowly , taking a left, I heard several little clicks , not from in the center of the wheel, but it sounds like almost near the directional . Anyone know if Is it safe to drive about a half hour tomorrow? I'll probably need to call the mechanic Monday but I am due to a chiropractor tomorrow. Is it ok for a few days, or not good to drive?

Does it sound like it's inside or outside the car. If it's outside then it would well be something as simple as a ball joint in the tie rod end gone bad. That's what usually causes knocking. It could be bad bearings in the hub and that's usually each for a mechanic to check. I don't see why you shouldn't be OK as long as there's no pulling, wobbling, jerking of the wheel or loud scaping or clanking noises.

@aboveaverageaveragejoe The clicking is inside the car near the directional/ turn signal and steering wheel. It's right near almost where the knock noise was a week ago. (Which was center of steering wheel)It was several clicks in a row, as I turned the wheel to take a left.
