Proof of vehicle registration is stupid and just a tool for the cops to fuck with you and possibly write an extra ticket

It serves no other purpose. They already know if you're registered before they get out of their car. All the I formation is right there on their stupid little computer. If they didn't see it there they see it clearly in the window. The only reason the law demands you keep the receipt in your car is to give the po-po one more thing to get ya on a ticket for. Just more gotcha BS.

A relic of pre-computer days. But then I am so old I remember when you had to have it displayed in a little plexi-glass sleeve wrapped around the steering column with springs, so it could be read through the driver-side window.

In my State they'll even write a ticket if the registration isn't signed and dated.
