Marked Safe from owning a telsa car

ArishMell · 70-79, M
I don't know what it is about the Tesla - designed and made in America - that SW has so many Americans insulting that but not other makes (imported) of battery-electric cars!

Some do dislike EVs wholesale, either for genuine practical reasons, or merely by hankering after old-style "gas-guzzlers" of suitably excessive size, weight and inefficiency.

There is a parallel fad in the UK for buying thumping great builders' pick-ups or vans among people who need no more than an ordinary hatchback- or estate- car. Though battery-electric vans of about VW 'Transporter' or Vauxhall 'Vivaro' size are now available.

I might have a battery car, but only if:

- Models suiting my purposes are available.

(That may happen in due course.)

- I had somewhere to park and charge it at home

(That will never happen.)

- I can be confident of finding on any journey, public chargers that accept bank-cards not silly "smart"-'phones for the payment, in sufficient numbers, accessibility, reliability and not likely to accumulate long queues doubling my expected trip time.

(That might happen.... before I am too old to drive anything more than a mobility-scooter. I might have enough room for that at home.)

- I can afford one.

(That will never happen, even second-hand so probably with its costly battery expiring.)

No EV for Me especially chinese ones.

That includes all of the Geely made EV's badged at Volvo's, and all the Telsa EV's from the chinese gigafactory with low-quality Chinese made battery modules.
