When you rent a car, you leave your persoenal vehicle with them free of charge, right?

I have never rented a car but am serious about a road trip.
I'm doing it next month.
I don't want to put 700 extra miles on my car.

It's late at night so I can't call and ask right now.

Any advice for a first time car renter?

I have license, car insurance.
I know to take photos/video of the vehicle before I drive off with it.

Anything else?
