Car flywheel

Is this car worth buying. It’s going for £895.
As I know nothing about cars my concern is the flywheel. Any help would be appreciated….

Good solid focus runs and drives but does have a slightly worn flywheel but will go on forever like it as advised by mechanic. Has the more reliable 1.8tdci engine. Long mot

The only ossue the flywheel will give is when the starter engages. The starter motor may grind on the gear teeth of the flywheel.

The 1.8 diesel has lots of life and as long as the clutch and manual gearbox feel good your major costs are covered.

Brakes, tires muffler will be on going expenses.

My only real concern would be underneath and body corrosion..

I am surprised the mechanic is faulting the gear teeth on the flywheel, its usually the gearteeth on the starter motor bendix that fails first.
@Majorlatency just did a quick check, the only other issue is the bearing, but that would show up, noisy on revving the engine, or shuddering when engaging the clutch or changing gears.
The bearing would have to be changed which is a low parts cost but fairly high number of hours labour..
