Electric Cars Are An Expensive Scam

If EVs were really an innovation, the state wouldn’t have to bribe and force companies to produce them.

it’s increasingly clear that the only reason giant rent-seeking carmakers are so heavily invested in EV development is that government is promising to artificially limit the production of gas-powered cars.

It is pushed by environmentalists who are idealistic and cannot see past their nose. To replace the battery costs almost as much as the car. They don't function well in hot and cold weather and use fossil fuel production to recharge them. Go figure!

@likesnatural Yet Norway (a cold-weather country) has a nearly 80% and growing fleet. Plus the batteries cost about a tenth of the car and are guaranteed for at least eight years as standard.

Try again :)

@likesnatural My entire car cost about $17,000. An EV battery can run from $15,000 to $25,000

@graphite an EV battery can last 8-10 years at least
@likesnatural Idealism is nice but it pales next to common sense and practicality .

@Dacrowman Internal combustion engine batteries only last 3-4 years but cost about $200. No second mortgage needed to pay for a replacement.

@graphite buy a better battery most will last longer than that
That's way too much for a battery. I don't care how long they last. @Dacrowman
