It’s funny. I was in the shower washing the entire day away when I told myself that I should make a post about the offer I made at work, and the legit
“bros” I came home who started drinking when I had left six hours ago.
But I forgot how I was going to start it because after I got out of the shower, my husband telling me I was at an 11 and needed to take it down a notch because I got upset that he referred to my son’s now ex as a “bitch” completely knocked me off course. …all I did was say, “Okay” and walk out of the room when he called her that, but whatever.
Anyway, they’re mending his heart by all playing FF11…or maybe it’s 14. I get them confused often because Final Fantasy has been a part of our household before kids were even thought of. So, after my son hugged me and thanked me for being there for him, they’re all having their bro time, which is fine by me. He needs it.
I’ve decided to hibernate in my room with my girl, the burger I decided to say yes to, tonight, and a new season of Temptation Island because my brain really needs and deserves to be on autopilot for the rest of the night…especially since I found out that during this very busy afternoon, there were only two people in the kitchen taking care of everything. That’s a big demand. Too big considering one of those two is the coworker who is trying to rebuild her life after a tragic house fire. So, I told the boss that I’m available to work longer hours to help them both cover that shift. It was the right thing to do and I know I’m the only one who can actually do it right now, but damn, is it going to test me. It’s okay though. At least I studied for this one and I’m sorta prepared for it unlike other tests I’ve had recently. So, yay for doing what’s right. Dammit 😒
