You should book a private flight through the canyon. There is really NO other good way to see all of it's incredible beauty.

We loved our trip a few years back. If you get a chance .. the North Rim is at higher elevation, which eases the heat, and is less crowded. From that side you can also visit Zion and Bryce, which are well worth the time.

Walking around it is better, anyway. ;)

After visiting The Rock, you can then go to the Great Barrier Reef, or Surfers Paradise... or go shopping at The Rocks in Sydney. :)
