Do you remember your first vacation? What did you do?
Mine was a carnival cruise! It was great my parents let me do whatever I wanted because I made my own friends and I couldn't get lost so we just hung by the pool most of the time and tanned!
First holiday without parents. Aged 16, me Robert and another boy whose name I forget took a five pound note and a tent and the bus to Glasgow and went camping in Scotland. I don’t think we realised how heavy all that equipment was! We ended up hitch-hiking everywhere. We decided as long as the driver didn’t look like a serial killer we’d be all right. First bloke who stopped in a white van had one eye and a scar on his cheek. He had ‘I’m a serial killer’ written all over him, but when you’ve been trying to hitch a lift unsuccessfully for the last two hours you’ll take anything. Anyway he was very nice and told us all about salmon fishing and said we should climb Ben Nevis at night to watch the sunrise from the top. Happy days!
The first vacation I remember was when I was about 4, and our family went with another family to Daytona Beach. All I remember is being afraid of the waves.
The vacations I remember were going on long haul camping trips to destinations. The earliest I remember was going to death valley park. I don’t remember alot about it other than it was a long miserable trip.
