We took our daughter to South Dakota years ago and keep going back to see Mount Rushmore, drive thru Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, etc. Hard to keep away from the Black Hills and other scenery from those other states.

@Blondily How often do you go and how long do you usually stay?
Blondily · F
@Musicman We usually go every year or so. Last time was in May. We stay a few days then meander back home.
I highly recommend going there for a vacation!

@Blondily That's one of the great things about being retired and having a motorhome. We can go for a month and be comfortable. 🙂

Sweet@Musicman!
I'd love to have one and explore all of the states.
Where are you and your wife's favorite vacations?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily We haven't been all over yet, but so far we love Chattanooga Tennessee, Key West, the Villages in Florida. We really liked Oklahoma City and Galveston Texas too.
Blondily · F
@Musicman I've been to Texas but none of the other states you mentioned.
My brother lived in Ok. What did you like about it?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily All the museums. The downtown area and the Stockyards. I would have liked to have had more time and money in the Stockyards. Lol!!! 😂😂😂
Blondily · F
@Musicman I had no idea there was so much to see there.
What was so fascinating about the stockyards? lol
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily The buildings are all historic. Everything there is Old West. I am a real lover of the Old West. When we were in Wichita Kansas they had restored the Old Cow Town where the cowboys came up from Texas to the railway.

So cool@Musicman
I love everything old west too. That's why we love the midwest.
I'd like to check that out myself.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Blondily I would love to spend an entire summer just touring the old cow towns. 🙂🙂🙂

@Blondily I loved hiking in the Black Hills and seeing Mount Rushmore from a distance and not with the crowds.

Lovely pics!
Blondily · F
@Musicman my kind of vacation 😎
Blondily · F
@JovialMoose Thank you!
Isnt it beautiful there? 😍
JovialMoose · 51-55, M
@Blondily It certainly was... although we got hailed on (badly). But I guess it made the "Wild West" live up to its name.

haha@JovialMoose
I luv it when they have thunder storms.
We went to Wall and watched an electricfying storm. Never see anything like that in my state, Wa.
