hypothetical situation:
there is a train about to crush into 3 innocent people... they will die.
you have the opportunity to pull a switch and the train will go another direction and kill only one innocent person... that otherwise would be perfectly safe.
would you pull that switch ?

Generally, yes. That is typically my sole justification for taking life is to save life.
