@CereBellum: No. But occasionally I get a text that I do have to answer but wait until at a stop light. Actually, when I'm driving actually talking on the phone is easier. My phone syncs up to Bluetooth through my radio. There is a small microphone on my instrument panel so I can talk hands free. Easy to talk and pay attention to what I'm doing.

I really think so. Cell phone use, eating, applying makeup, reading, sexual activity of any kind - anything which distracts the driver - should be considered an act of D.U.D., driving under distraction. Any such distraction should be considered reckless endangerment, and should draw a penalty, whether or not the crash results in injury. Just that there was a crash as a result, is enough.

@sighmeupforthat: They may not be able to. In a lot of places they can't stop you for that. They have to be able to stop you for something else and then they can add that as another ticket.
