If you show up at a hospital with a health condition they have to treat you. So, it's a right. But I know that's not what you're talking about.

@StevetheSleeve: the law states a hospital must treat you regardless of your ability to pay IF it is a life and death situation. Most will treat you unless it's obviously something trivial. Examples would be you are in cardiac arrest, your right leg is hanging by a tiny piece of skin, your brains are oozing out of your cranium. However, there is no law requiring a doctor treat you. Isn't that interesting.
