the armor would protect me from the judgment :P
Neiromatheous · 31-35, M
@bubblybuns: Haha, I suppose it does. Nobody wants to fuck with someone wearing plate mail and carrying a longsword.

firefall · 61-69, M
Depends. If you're talking full plate, I ain't gonna wear that anywhere. If you mean an Aketon or Gambeson, sure, I'd wear that around town.

Them things don't look comfortable as it is, in the summer wearing them outside would be like sitting inside of an oven here where I live.

You do realize that you need a lot of help to get into plate mail armor. Chain mail isn't easy to get into either. Then try walking with 70 to 200 pounds of metal on you.

@MasterDvdC: I wore full plate armour grocery shopping yesterday and it was not overly difficult for me to get into it by myself, and I am wearing a chainmail hauberk right now, made from 14 gauge mild steel, It was no more difficult than putting on a t-shirt. At least for me. I do suppose if someone lacks to strength to wear it comfortably it will be considerably more difficult to put on and take off. Another fun fact, wearing a belt with chain mail armour helps to take some of the weight off your shoulders, it feels much lighter than it actually is when you are wearing it. Properly designed plate armour has the same effect. Think about the load bearing harnesses and vests soldiers will use to carry equipment. The straps and buckles on properly crafted armour works similar the same. Another fun fact, the amount of equipment a infantry soldier is required to carry in modern day is more than a medieval knight or foot soldier had to carry.

ForeverOnMyGuard · 22-25, F

TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
you could join a LARP club...... lots of faggots there who wear chainmail and shit
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M
well i dont know why you would want to go and play with the nerds anyway
Neiromatheous · 31-35, M
@TheCoolestCat: Well perhaps because I am a nerd myself, and I like nerdy things. Which is why I spent a year to craft myself chain mail armour that could withstand attacks from longswords and longbows.
