Surely if you are in a relationship with someone its because you like their individuality? If you werent attracted to the thing that makes them unique then it seems strange to be with them? At the same time you can be with someone and accept them for who they are even if you find a quality about them beyond irritating, if you love someone you love them for them, the balance is a part of making the relationship work.

My snuggles and i are both odd creatures and we love that about each other. But we have grown and changed as the years go by and I like who I am

@vicTORIa89: A growth in a positive way is very welcome thing.

You can't have a relationship without it getting in the way of your individuality.

@BlueMetalChick: Why?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Decreate: Because that's the point of being in a relationship, is to sacrifice some of your individuality, pride, and dignity in order to get validation from someone else. It's something people do out of insecurity.

@BlueMetalChick: ok. I agree about having to sacrifice pride. I'm not so sure about having to sacrifice individuality. I'm also not sure if people do it because of insecurity. So I will take it as your opinion. Unless, you please if you wish clarify why sacrificing pride amounts/leads to sacrificing individuality.
