What were some of your childhood fears?

When my mommy and daddy took me to some shitty resteraunt for my 8th birthday and as I was eating a stale roll some creepy clown came up to me and sang me happy birthday. I started crying and called my dad an asshole for doing that.

my parents splitting and leaving us - they were always fighting, all the time - my sister and I never knew coming home from school who - if anyone - would be there. We went to sleep way too many times crying with them fighting downstairs so loud the neighbors looked funny at all of us in the morning - one of the neighbor ladies even told us a couple of times we 'could come over there if we needed to be somewhere quiet'

Centipedes. They still are.

I grew up while the Cold War was brewing. I used to watch the news as a young kid and see all the talk about stockpiling nuclear weapons. Then I'd go to bed and dream about going out of my front door and seeing ICBMs tracing across the sky.

The only serious fear that I had was being abandoned by my parents.

My mother, her friends (or henchstaff) and her people in the CPUSA (American communist party); torture, murder, being put into a mental hospital against my will.

I hated all those too!! And the beginning credits to Scooby doo scared the bejeezus out of me
