I don't really think that there's all that much difference between emotionally strong men and women. The world's just cruel to all of us and some are better at dealing with it than others.

I don't just mean emotionally strong. I mean strong in every sense of the word. I mean those women who earn their own living, who change their own tires, who mow their own yards, who fix their own leaky faucets, who do the things that they have to do even if it's things that many see as "masculine" kind of chores.

I guess I mean women who grew up on Disney but who are not princesses and don't believe that Prince Charming is going to come rescue them. Women who rely only on themselves.

Yeah, precisely the kind of women I'm referring to as well. I've dated a couple of them myself and I'd count my sister-in-law amongst them as well. Strong psychological character, not prone to breaking down at the slightest push and not reliant on support from others. They exist on both sides of the gender divide, there's just societal norms that don't quite allow for the same level of expression for men. Humans are humans, what kind of bits are between your legs doesn't really make that big a difference.

Nothing wrong with being strong and no reason a strong woman can't be treated right by a man, or if they so desire another woman for that matter. It's just a matter of finding the right partner. There's several billion other humans out there, there's probably at least a few that won't be assholes to you.

@UndeadPrivateer: Thanks :) but this wasn't about me. It was just a meme I saw and got into a discussion about and wondered what others thought.

Oh, the "you" there was meant as more of an ephemeral one not really directed straight at you in particular. Should've probably clarified that.
