Why do people keep asking vague questions?

They provide no detail whatsoever regarding context, which is critical when someone is answering a question. For example, "Are you enough?" Am I enough what? Am I enough of a man to live on my own? No. Am I enough for my girlfriend? No. Am I good enough to play tennis? Yep. Too many ways that question can be interpreted.
