@Allelse: I know the feeling, someone once wanted to know how to get her bf to stop beating her. I told her to leave as she can't change him. She went rabid on me and told me I didn't know what love was.

@curiosi: I had the exact same thing too. She didn't seem to see the similarity her boyfriend hitting her and her father hitting her. "Oh but my boyfriend loves me" and I'd patiently repeat "But he's still hitting you".
