Why do people ask to see a pic?

So I didn't have my picture as my profile. Now I do because I'm tired of people asking to see a pic of me and quit talking to me. How RUDE! If u think I'm ugly just say so. If you want fake you are talking to the wrong person. I tell it like it is. You also see what you get. To my true friends on here this is not towards you.

I think after a certain period of time a photo is appropriate (for friendship or other.) Most friends should at least know what you look like. However, anyone asking for photos with the first or second statement is simply looking for jerk off material. My current profile pic is good enough for a visual and how it goes from there is subjective.

I disagree. I think it is the younger crowd who says this. I think they need the security of a photo. Something to hang on to. I do not. I base my friendships on-line on words and on actions, not on appearances. But I am older and perhaps wiser and more open than you, girl.

@ravenwind43: I am not. I am merely stating my opinion. I find it is mostly a younger crowd who demands photos. People of my age usually do not ask. I think it is because we are more polite and we are not hung up on appearances. That is all.

Where did I say anything about demanding photos? Stop assuming you know how I think and take responsibility for your response.That is what an "older and wiser" adult does.
