I want to know

How to deal with my mentally ill mother once my dad passes away? She will stay a couple of days with me and I will find her a condo community to live in. In her last days I will do the same thing for her that I am doing for my dad.

After she stays with you for awhile you should maybe find her an assisted living place

Maybe
@ChocolateSauce: just do your research what is best for her. Be informed.

I'm going through a similar situation myself. The best advice I can give is to educate yourself as much as possible seek professional advice.

Thank you for the information. I do have a therapist and I have had her for about 2 or more years now. She doesn't yet know about his passing but she will know during our next therapy session.
What did you do for your dad?

I took care of him. In and out of the hospital too many times over the past 2 years. He went through chemo, radiation and the side effects. I did everything for him. Anyone who read this and has gone through it don't ask questions like that.
@ChocolateSauce: 🤔 I'm asking because you were vague. I'm not being judgemental or harsh, it was only a question.
What confused me is that you started your questions asking "How to deal with my mentally ill mother " and ended your comment with " I will do the same thing for her that I am doing for my dad." Which led me to wonder, what you did for your dad. And really, I'm just curious as to what you are planning to for her that is teh same as your dad.
