@BlueMetalChick: the sound and look things are lame reasons since i always make my windows look like windows 98 (all settings on performance no menu or bars styles transparency etc). It all depends on the age you started computing, i started with windows 3.11 and 98 it's the look i'm most familiar with but i'm not nostalgic enough to give up the advantages of a new OS when that nostalgic look and sound is a few clicks away.

@kayoshin: Oh I know. XP is obsolete now which is why I don't use it. But I still love using those Windows XP soundboard things to listen to the old startup tone and stuff.

Like i said you're probably not using it right, Cortana always gives me what i want and i don't have to navigate 3-4 sub menus in the start menu, if you're getting weird results you're using unclear search words or looking in the wrong place since it also gives internet results.
Again that is a silly thing to say since it's obvious you didn't bother to see how it works and blame the OS for not having features IT HAS but you are not using! The search feature works exactly like win7 and xp, but the one you're using is CORTANA she's the only one that also directs to the store. The search works as it always has and if you have any doubt hit F3 and then tell me about all the store links you see in your search results.
Your menu is an OPTION not an obligation and you can set it to the classical view if you are so afraid of Cortana and tiles :)
I feel like taking 10-20 minutes to customize your OS to your old habits is a lot less hassle than setting up a dual boot to an OS that is incompatible with a lot of software tools. But if you are a linux fan i do see how hating on anything microsoft does might also be a habit :D
This kind of resistance and refusing a little learning curve is why we are getting close to nothing new, because the companies are afraid that trying something new will freak out the conservatives "oh no it does something new but not in the exact way i'm used to! the horror!!!" :)
I want to see a new os that actualy requiers you to pick up the manual and start from zero and be like "wtf is going on here? Woaaah you can do that!?"

@BlueMetalChick: yes you can just set those up to your current OS if you miss the sound on startup, there are even whole "xp clone" themes with the sounds and everything. Why were you calling that dude a pcgamerfag?

@GermanAf: Maybe not, but it doesn't stand up to my 4K 60FPS 62 inch UHD curved television set with a console that produces the same graphics. And cost about four hundred dollars less. The console, that is. The telly would be a lot more, but I didn't buy it.

@BlueMetalChick: lol then i guess I'm one of those too and the pc cost was about 600€ (monitor not included as i bought that later). I htikn console people have a weird prejudice that gaming on PC HAS to be expensive and console is not. Wake up there are hundred of dollars pro gaming SINGLE CONTROLLERS for the main consoles so being an elitist is not cheap on console either, also the myth of PC upgrades is a early 2000 remnant, my rig is a 2011 build and all i upgraded was the video card, still burning rubber still under 1000 playing this year games on High. How many consoles were released in the meantime? Just saying the thousands of dollars thing is a myth perpetrated by ready built gaming systems companies and by crazy Modders that just do it BECAUSE THEY CAN not because it's needed in any way.

@GermanAf: That's not true, the ps4 does do 4k also the MS Scorpio will do native 4K and graphics is the LAST thing a pc brings, the main advantages for me is the flexibility in control schemes which gives you more game types than console and also cuts down on time you have to wrestle with managing things in the game.

@GermanAf: Oh yeah, that is a good thing. Because 4K Xbox One and 4K PS3 totally don't game in 4K. They're just CALLED that for no reason.

@BlueMetalChick: i have xbox one 4k and it doesn't game in 4k just upscales to it however i bought it cause it's the cheapest 4k blue ra player out there and i had no console since my PS2 died years ago :D

@kayoshin: Your 2011 rig is not "burning rubber." A PC is an inferior gaming machine. Way more expensive games, a way smaller selection, completely absent of all the best older titles, no graphics advantages, no multiplayer compatibility, no backwards compatibility, requires antivirus, and is laughably elitist for zero reason whatsoever. PC gaming basically takes gaming to the next level by removing 100% of the fun and making it more expensive.

@BlueMetalChick: however on that note i did get a lot of free gameplay with the console in a couple dozens games some of which i also played on pc and i have to say it feels like a more restricted experience on the box than on the PC especially in the shooters i feel like i have a hand tied behind my back and i'm hopping on one foot :))

@kayoshin: Your choice of PS2 is an excellent one. Thankfully they're very cheap to buy these days.

@GermanAf: 4K is better than you can run at 60FPS, and graphics was the last advantage PC fanfags were clinging to for years now. "Well we can't have multiplayer...or a proper game library...or access to older titles...or cheap games...or easy refit...bu-bu-bu-but we have better graphics!"

Smaller selection again debatable if you sort out the chaff the games that deserve playing leave console and PC on even grounds because of exclusives on both sides. Antivirus? REALLY you just said that you like XP sounds means you already have a PC most households NEED a form of pc or another so all those costs you need to cover anyway the gaming part is just an extra. Gaming READY machines are elitist, build your own rig is really elitist in the sense you have to care and not be brain dead to search for sales on parts and put them together. If i want to game any game that released in 2017 i can do it at least on high, i am playing last years games all on ULTRA, but that is just garbage because even if i set all my settings on LOW the game still looks about as good as a console game so being on ULTRA is just an OPTION not a requierement, i would only need to spend 2000 on a amchine if i wanted to play on ULTRA on a triple screen or with virtual reality in 2019 not 2017. Check your facts. You're shouting hear say i'm typing from the same machine that games on that budget flawlessly and the console to compare it with sits right on top of it so you can't call me biased.

@GermanAf: when you say PC doesn't have exclusives you are dead wrong many games are pc exclusive especialy RTS games simply because the control scheme would be a nightmare on consoles.

Imagine the shitstorm that starcraft on console would be.
