Why are there a lot more gay people now than 50 years ago?
By the way I have nothing against the LGBT community but I suddenly realized the population of the LGBT community is huge, even in the last 20 years

People have been coming out of the closet. It's not like they didn't exist, it's just that they haven't felt supported enough to feel comfortable with who they are. Some of them, it's taken years. And some never made it to be who they truly are.
