On this site do you prefer private message chats or interacting through the various public questions

I like private messages only from people I've interacted with over time. They generally feel like interviews/interrogations when they come from people who randomly select me

I was introduced to the site by a personal friend and we tend to chat in private here sometimes, but with others I have met I also prefer private chatting generally.
