Do you agree with not keeping score in kids sports?

I think its redic not to teach children how to cope with losing and being a good sport when winning.

I think it avoids the issue of winning or losing entirely, so I'm not sure they learn anything about either of those things. That being said, there's still a lot of other valuable things that can be learned in team sports.

I still think it's important to teach kids that their level if self worth is not tied to whether or not they win, and taught how to be good sports whether they win or lose, succeed or fail.

Achieving something and winning are nice, but winning isn't everything. 馃檪
I think I misunderstood your stance, but my answer is still the same. xp

@AmbivalentFriability: How so? maybe I can explain
I think not "keeping score" in academics might be more important. Getting good grades so you can get into a good college later is one thing, but I don't see how competitiveness is beneficial otherwise in this scenario. School is stressful enough without feeling like you need to be a better student than everyone else.

@AmbivalentFriability: Oh I see, yes, I was simply speaking of youth sports but I see your point within academics.
