Why does society label a person as suspicious just for being in a place where they aren't expected?

Why does God want to give me a horrible life at first, but later gives me a wonderful life?
What should we do? I Believe I am in a trauma bond with a narcissist for over 20 years and it is just getting worse. He does things behind my back to hurt me in every which way as I know this how to walk away safely.
