Why do narcissists often seek out maternal figures, and what are they trying to achieve by doing so?

Do you believe that you deserve everything that has happened to you in life? I think that people did things in past lives which determine which happens in this one.
Why do some people go out of their way to mess with exotic cars when they see them in public?
Why might someone bring up their record sales in a situation where it doesn't fit? Is there a deeper reason behind this need to brag?
