Why do some people earn more money but never seem to become financially secure?

Why are the British, especially (it seems) the English, so antagonistic toward the USA, and why do they seem to consider anything/everything Americans do to be "done wrong"?
When was the last time you cleaned out your freezer and found freezer-burned chicken breasts and chili from three years ago?
I was house sitting for a friend and as a joke, I pooped in their bed and left it there. Why are they so upset over a harmless prank?
