How do people who prioritize evidence-based thinking view religious texts like the Bible?

Biden's inflation was due to the Covid Pandemic. Trump's inflation is due to tariffs of everything paid by consumers, trade wars with all our trading partners, and going to war with Iran on orders from Israel. How are these things comparable?
