How does having more free time in your 70s change the way you approach daily tasks and chores?

How long would you wait on someone to get out of jail, especially if you know it's over nothing such as an old warrant such as an empty threat and "felony" domestic charge? Also, you know they're nice most the time and wanting to marry you.
Is there really a mass exodus of expats from Thailand, or is it just a normal cycle of people coming and going?
