If you woke up as a your 10 year old self

What would a Sunday look like for you?

I would have done my chores, has some Rice Krispies, then head out riding bikes with my friends once they got home from church. In the evening I may have had a softball game to play. I was the starting pitcher and I absolutely loved it. I would really play it up and try to be imitating on the mound. Lol. Wearing those uniforms, feeling the leather glove on my left hand, whipping the ball at the catcher and smacking the ball into the outfield was my happy place. One of few I had a child. I wish I could go back…

Wake up before my parents and watch cartoons… do chores, go hang with my neighborhood friends and ride our bikes all over town
Unless I had a football or little league baseball game!

@RebelRaven they weren’t but we pretty much made our own… Funny thing; BMX basically copied all the custom mods kids were already doing

10 year old me ok a Sunday would have spent all day doing chores and doing everything to avoid the beating I would have got. It wouldn’t have done any good. No matter what I did or what I didn’t do the end of the night would come with a punishment of some form From 8-12 at home was very very bad.

@MyMonstersAreReal I feel like I understand this. There was no way to stop it- no matter what you did or how perfect you tried to be.

Watch NFL with my dad if it’s during the season
Otherwise probably play my PS2

Sunday morning church, either swimming in the pond or playing ball of some kind followed by dinner then the Ed Sullivan Show.
RebelRaven · 51-55, F
@SageWanderer that was a good show wasn’t it, I’ve seen some reruns.

@RebelRaven I just remember waiting for the singer or group that was popular in my day. At 10 I missed the nuances of the comedians or the talent of the opera singers. I do enjoy seeing reruns!
Sunday morning I wasn't allowed to go Play outside until after church. Mostly because without that rule I was covered in mud and grass stains.

After that some chores then probably play outside or taking pictures with my Polaroid 600.
@RebelRaven Was a Christmas gift from my parents. I have been interested in photography ever since and been seriously pursuing it for the last 15 years.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow that’s very cool.
@RebelRaven Thanks. Photography helps keep me sane.

5th grade. Yes, I played baseball in Little League(I was terrible). I still loved watching cartoons. Sunday night at 10:30pm, Ch.13 would play Monty Python. I never watched bad 70s TV after that, there was no point. I was also just getting into drumming, which I still do today, and being a music obsessive.

In other words, I'm boring because I largely do the same things I did in 1977(minus rotary dialing, analog TV and 8-track tapes). We got our first VCR in May 1978, so I'd watch Super 8 films.

Taking care of my little sister and trying to stay hidden
i would be playing with my dog. probably drinking water from a hose in the heat as i was living in scarborough ontario at the time and it was hot as hell. i would have been playing soccer with my dad coaching/watching from the sidelines....i'd kill to have those days again.

Oof sounds traumatic I think I was still with my bio parents at that point or freshly in foster care

If I was still with my bio parents at that point I don’t really want to say what my day would’ve been…
