Do you think the American dream still exists today, or has it become a story from the past?

Why do conservatives on the internet repeat things my 101 year old grandmother yells at TV's but act like they said something informed or insightful? All she's done for the last 40 years is watch propaganda on the TV, why spread ignorance?
