Does the refusal to admit we don't know the answers to life's big questions create more suffering than the questions themselves?

How do I not feel depressed when all we do in life is work 9-5 until retirement? I feel like things I want to do aren't exactly a job and it's all about efficiency and making money nowadays.
Why is it important to avoid egoism in your journey toward success, and how can you stay humble while still striving for more?
