Why hasn't space technology in general been able to deliver on the high expectations that have always been placed on it?

I’ve been wondering about something. Why do you think it’s so difficult to find a true soulmate these days? Do people have higher expectations now, or is it just harder to build genuine connections in today’s world?
I’m trying to make friends with my crush at work mainly just to become friends because I love her energy but get nervous. Do you have any advice to not think about it and just be myself?
