Do you find it easier to feel good about yourself when you are honest with the people around you?

My main love languages are quality time and acts of service why do people often seem more willing to give money, drugs (e.g. medical professionals), and gifts than to give of their time and of themselves?
Are haters gonna keep on hating and lover gonna keep on loving while people keep getting rich and then entering into "thy everlasting life"? What a waste of time, effort, and energy! Will the humans ever overcome the crux of self and evolve?
