What makes social media such a trigger for narcissists when it comes to seeing others happy?

I'm not a flirt. I don't click easily with most people and I hate faking and acting. I'm rather introverted, reserved and logical, though I can be witty and ridiculous sometimes. Is dating a pointless endeavor for someone like me?
