How can you choose your battles wisely at work without compromising your self-respect or relationships with colleagues?

After the markets closed, Iran decided to let everyone know they will continue to limit ships through the Strait of Hormuz and charge tolls. Since Iran has the same knowledge as Trump's White House, are they also manipulating the stock market?
What has your experience been with online relationships? Mine hasn't been great so far, but I'm still hoping to find the right person, does it really works for others?
