OMG yes. The packages came in different sizes but that was the granddaddy of them all! And the built in sharpener!

I remember how “yellow-green” and “green-yellow” were different colors (which proves to be an interesting mathematical concept later in life). And there were these weird names like “Burnt Sienna” and “Dark Umber”, if memory serves, rather than just brown.

I love this post. I miss those days.

Every year I get excited for the back-to-school sections at the stores for the nostalgia alone.

I used to get pumped by buying new book covers. The ones that had college names. What a dork I was. Not sure that was a thing for your age group.

That was the envy of many of my classmates in grade school. Only a select few had them, most of us had the box of 16.
