Why are fewer people forming long-term relationships today despite having more ways to meet than ever before?

Commercialization of social media.

Capitalism couldn't get into social environments pre Internet. No way to charge or make a profit before the Internet.

Capitalism ruins everything.

Including charities and charity social circumstances.

Some actually dated just to have any kind of date at all. Even if it was below their standards.
