Do you think it is fair to say that "hate mongering" has been mainstreamed in India?

If you’re a guy, and you’re interested in someone, would you wait for them to make the first move without any communication? Or would you make yourself known, and find out for yourself if it’s mutual?
My mom is so stressed out and my family members think something bad is going to happen to our mom because of me. What should I do?
