How would you do that?
@hippyjoe1955 need to upload government ID
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@mysteryespresso And you could prove what by doing that? People can easily fake ID. Not to mention which would you be on SW if you were required to show government ID? Many many people would not. How can you trust such a website to be secure?

@hippyjoe1955 Not as easy now days as some might think with real ID chip in the ID card itself. And that is exactly what they are pushing for in the USA.
Just to get one you must show a birth certificate with an embossed state seal, no matter what your situation is. No PO boxes, only permanent addresses, on and on and on.

@DeWayfarer So would you submit such ID to be on a site like SW?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 Nope. And I don't have real ID either. Yet I can't get on a airplane either, even if it's within the USA. No real ID, no flying.

@DeWayfarer I agree with you. I would never trust SW or any other such site with any Government issued ID. For one thing it would be illegal for SW to have mine. Only a select number of people are entitled to see your government ID.

@hippyjoe1955 If you even look under 40, you can't buy any type of alcohol in this state, without ID. Not even a beer. I was carded at 55 once.

@DeWayfarer Wow. I was making the bar when I was 17. Legal age had just dropped from 21 to 18. I was never asked for ID. I don't have to worry about that anymore. The one bottle of wine I get a year is a gift from a friend. I have two of them in my cupboard at the moment.

@hippyjoe1955 when I was in the military I just presented my military ID. There's a waiver for all military people in every state.

@DeWayfarer Yeah we had the same in Canada. If you were in uniform no questions were ever asked.
